Same Sex Marriage

Same Same but different. - Celebrating for the same reason but finally under a different law.
Last year everybody was talking about it, now everybody is preparing for it. Finally we have reached a time where despite our difference we have equality! And we here at Elite Sounds Entertainment are excited to assist you to make your long awaited special day all it can be.
It's January 2018 and people all around Australia are beginning to plan their beautiful wedding here on the Sunshine Coast. As we begin to pencil in new dates for everyone to treasure for years to come we can't help but notice a change is in air. And we are very thankful that it is such a good one at that. This year marriage equality has finally become accepted. I say finally because you just need to look at the rest of the world to see that we needed to catch up!
I remember only a few of years ago when couples would come to us planning a celebration for their friends and families to follow up from getting married in New Zealand. This year the message is very strong, and that message is 'Love is Love' - plain and simple: man to woman, man to man, woman to woman.
Elite Sounds Entertainment are welcoming all couples. We love to cater to every unique match by crafting play lists carefully and supporting all kinds of tastes in music.
On that note, I have jotted down a couple of songs I have found fitting in light of the LGBT community finally making their way down the isle.

1) Finally - CeCe Peniston
(Australia has caught up! This is a fun song that also could make for a good entrance song.)

2) All of me – John Legend
(This is a very popular first dance song that says it all, plus its gender-neutral)

3) 100% pure love – Crystal Waters
(One of those retro dance songs that send a clear message and never gets old)

4) At last – Etta James
(Because you waited long enough.)

5) Better together – Jack Johnson
(Happy, beachy and relaxed. This is a good transition song to go right after the ceremony)

6) Biding my time – Busby Marou
(A local gem for those that have been biding there time 😉 The time is now.)

Love songs in the Hottest 100
The votes are in and have spoken. Triple J has yet again produced another great list of 100 songs voted by their listeners of the best new music to come out of 2017. Often we get asked as Event Dj's to replicate a soundscape based upon what is currently on Triple J and it is worthwile to suggest that. Although the station does play a lot of new music the songs in rotation are often very different to what is depicted in the Top 40 countdown represented by many commertial stations.
One thing I look forward to each year is observing what songs make it and what songs don't. And most of all what songs make for a cracker at a wedding. I have reviewed this years top 20 songs of the hottest 100 and have made a small list for you of the top 10 love songs that made the hottest 100 that are applicable for a wedding, e.g. happy love songs, not break up songs. However if you feel like celebrating a break up, get in touch! Any excuse is a good excuse to party 😉
10 Love songs that made the top 20 (the first 5 are Aussie!)

1. (at number 2) Let Me Down Easy – Gang of Youths. 'I want someone to want me for who I am'
2. (at number 3) Chateau – Angus & Julia Stone. I'll take you where you wanna go
3. (at number 7) Go Bang – Pnau. We in Love, Our love is made like..
4. (at number 8) Sally – Thundamentals Ft. Mataya. She's odd but I got a crush on her
5. (at number 9) Lay It On Me – Vance Joy. I found you hidden in plain sight why'd I take so long?
6.(at number 12) Fake Magic – Peking Duk & AlunaGeorge (don't need no fake magic, I'll give you what money can't by)
7. (at number 13) Young Dumb & Broke – Khalid (we still got love to give, even tho we just kids)
8. (at number 14) Homemade Dynamite – Lorde (the flirt game before you know each other)
9. (at number 16) Feel The Way I Do - The Jungle Giants (I know you feel the way I do cause there ain't nobody else like us out there)
10. (at number 18) Exactly How You Are’ – Ball Park Music ( I love you exactly how you are)
If you love and listen to triple J then we have got you sorted.

Very wet day today on Noosa North Shore for the wedding of the new Mr and Mrs White. Arrived two hours early in case of rain and paid off and got set up before heavy rain set in.
All outdoors today but should still be a great time at this beautiful location.

Hot but beautiful day for the new Mr & Mrs Cartwell. Married in Noosa then Celebrated at Sunshine Beach Surf Club to music by DJ Rick. Full dance floor all night and finishing off with the classic track by "Journey - Don't Stop Believing" and had the whole room in song.
